Tri Swim:
- Tri Swim is a training program targeted specifically towards the swim portion of Triathlons: efficiency, endurance, and open water swimming.
- The coach will prepare drills that emphasize the building blocks of a swimming style suitable for triathlons.
- Emphasis will be on improving swimming efficiency, which is crucial for longer swims.
- Participants will practice progressions that will gradually build their ability to swim in Open Water.
- Participants will work to improve their endurance without "practicing struggle": they will learn to work with the water and not against it.
- This program is open to triathletes and open water swimmers of all levels (see Pre-reqs) and ages (kids and adults).
- This session will take place at the Rec Center covered pool during the winter. We will move to actual open water as temperatures allow.
- This is not a learn-to-swim program, nor a swimming pool competition or development program. It is specifically targeted towards Triathlon and Open Water swimming.
- Pre-reqs: participants must already be swimmers, and thus be able to swim 25 yards comfortably.
